The Hanliensian Rambling Club was founded in 1929. The activities are more than rambling. Meals out, theatre visits, YHA weekends, BBQ’s, holidays in Britain and abroad.
In recent months walks have been organised in Cheshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Shropshire, Yorkshire and Wales, including a four day hotel holiday. The 2018 summer holiday abroad was taken in the Austrian Alps, one week in Seefeld and another week in Neustift where we managed to ascend to 11,000 feet.
The comprehensive programme includes 180 walks per year and these are split into 7 grades to accommodate all abilities.
